Our Practice has a Patient Participation Group (PPG) whose purpose is to liaise with the Doctors and the Management to represent the views of patients regarding the services provided and how we are to develop in the future. The PPG meets approximately once a month. In the past the PPG has undertaken surveys of patients’ opinion of, for example, our appointments system. We have discussed the results of these surveys.
In addition, the PPG has raised money to help buy equipment for the Practice. For example £500.00 was raised with the money being put towards the costs of x2 iPAD Defibrillators.
We are very keen to see the PPG grow in size and to ensure it represents all ages and backgrounds of our patients. If you are interested in joining the PPG either as a full or virtual member you can discuss this further with either Kaye Purkis or Gemma Baines. Alternatively, why not complete one of the application forms below and leave it at the Reception of your usual surgery building. We look forward to hearing from you!
The PPG also supports a Weight Management Group which meets fortnightly at St Marks Road surgery site on a Friday from 11.15am to 12.15pm. If you would be interested in attending then please contact the surgery for the next date or speak to the PPG chair Carol Cox.
Virtual membership means you can still join in and give your opinions to the PPG but you would not have to attend meetings. A member of the PPG may contact you from time to time to discuss issues being considered by the group.
The next meeting date is:
Wednesday 22nd May 2019 at 10.30am at St Marks Road, Chaddesden
